Art Imitates Life

Another day, another bad omen for the Mets (although they did win tonight, albeit against the sorry Nats). This morning, I was trying to raise a window shade in my office, but I accidently lowered it. In doing so, the shade knocked over the David Wright bobblehead sitting on the radiator below the window and promptly knocked off its arm. Now, I don’t believe in voodoo, but I half-expected to get an email or text-message from one of my friends telling me that Wright will be sidelined 6-8 weeks with an unspecified arm injury.  That’s how it has been for the Mets since early last year. One injury after another.  Even their bobbleheads aren’t safe.
